VMC Presents Two Panels at CloudSlam'10™
Redmond, WA (March 23, 2010) – VMC Consulting is presenting two sessions at CloudSlam'10™, the world's premier cloud computing event, VMC’s Eric Mead, Director of Consulting Services, will be leading, “Ideal Human Capital Models for the Cloud Environment” on March 24, and Chuck Hobart, Solutions Architect for IT Outsourcing will lead the presentation, “Cloud Bursting for Optimizing IT Environments” on March 25 at this industry leading online conference.
Mead, along with VMC’s Megan Taylor, takes a look at how moving to a cloud network affects business decisions in “Ideal Human Capital Models for the Cloud Environment.” Attendees will learn about the strategy and tactics required for managing the employee base in a cloud environment, as well as learn about direct and indirect costs, technology decisions and the impact of retention versus hiring net new resources. This CloudSlam'10™ session takes place on March 24 at 3:15 EST. Eric Mead has over 12 years experience in consulting and business development and leads VMC’s consulting practice, while Taylor has over 10 years experience in marketing and communications, and leads service positioning and development, as well as communications, and event management for the company.
On March 25 at 10:15am EST, VMC will present “Cloud Bursting for Optimizing IT Environments,” discussing how Cloud Bursting provides a solution for scaling between peak demand and running minimal IT environments with low fixed costs. The panel will provide an overview of Cloud Bursting and the methodology to implement “Just in Time” capabilities in cloud environments. This approach provides optimization for reliable, scalable and available resources in the cloud, while paying for just the services and capacity needed for managing load demand.
