FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VMC Game Labs to Co-Host WTIA’s Gaming Special Interest Group
Redmond, WA (July 6, 2009) – VMC is pleased to announce a new additional partnership with the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA)—formerly Washington Software Alliance-WSA. The company’s VMC Game Labs division will act as a co-host for the WTIA’s Gaming Special Interest Group (SIG). Beginning this fall, VMC Game Labs will help lead this newly formed SIG, along with a to-be-determined co-host company from the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant Gaming community, in partnership with the WTIA.
The WTIA’s Gaming SIG was formed to provide a community forum and source for education and networking amongst the ever expanding Gaming technology market in the Seattle-area of Washington State. VMC Game Labs will provide access to expert speakers and program development for this SIG based on the company’s work as the leading independent games testing organization in the world. The SIG will meet quarterly and will feature speakers from a wide variety of Gaming backgrounds ranging from Game Developers to Producers, Console Manufacturers, and Game component engineers in music, and art development. The standard format for each Gaming SIG event includes a pre-event meal and networking followed by a presentation and interactive Q&A between the speakers and attendees. The Gaming SIG events will be free for WTIA members and their guests and will be held at the co-host company office locations in the Seattle-area.
The Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) is the leading networking and lobbying organization serving the technology community in Washington State. The WTIA provides education, special events, networking, advocacy, member discounts, and job and community forum opportunities for its members and the technology community at large.
