At VMC, a typical Certification Lifecycle includes Design the Certification / Validation Program (review of existing client objectives, requirements,  processes and VMC best practices; design of "to-be" certification processes and models),  Model the Certification / Validation Program (modeling the “to be” processes; initial models and risk management plan), Execute the Certification / Validation Program (execute all of the work as per the SOW; detailed certification requirements with the agreed to processes), Monitor the Certification / Validation Program (monitoring  all areas of the program; identify gaps, areas for improvement and future state requirements), Optimize the Certification / Validation Program (optimize operations and engagement models and processes during this phase, based on revised design and modeling parameters).

VMC Certification uses a three phase approach. The first phase is Knowledge Transfer. Deliverables include:

The second phase of VMC Certification is Execute and Operate. Deliverables include: 
            • Application verification and review operations

            • Approval of VMC suggested improvements/modifications to the program
                            Flexibility to modify solution as the needs change
                            Updated Risk Management plan

Phase three is Steady State Operations. Deliverables include:
            • Finalize team models 
            • Execute the work with the improved processes from Phase 2
            • Continue the Design, Model, Execute, Monitor & Optimize process
            • Access to client for exceptions and new opportunities for the Certification Program
