Holiday Games Sales May Appear Slow, but Industry Growth Expected in 2006 and Beyond
Early reports of video game sales this holiday season appear to be below 2004. But brighter prospects are just around the corner - industry analysts like DFC Intelligence expect a major boost in 2006 games revenues, with industry sales to meet or exceed $24 billion. With Xbox 360 having just hit the market, and with the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Revolution coming soon, experts liken this year to a similar period in 2001 - when consumers were in "wait and see" mode anticipating next-generation consoles - which was then followed by a historic boom in game sales. With this increased demand on games producers expected, VMC GameLabs is a great addition to your team to deliver and support your game products in the marketplace.
